Two minutes with… Exeter City

The latest edition of ‘two minutes with…’ comes from Exeter fan, Keiran.

Pre-match
Had you been to Underhill before?
Yes, I went there back when we were last in League Two.
How did you get to the game?
I got to the game by official supporters coach.

The match
Whereabouts in the ground did you sit/stand?
I stood in the away section of the East Terrace
What did you make of the game?
The game wasn’t exactly the best of spectacles, but there was some good football played by both teams at points during the game. Unfortunately you can tell that Barnet are playing with not a lot of confidence at the moment, and this was shown during the game by the numerous defensive mistakes and goalkeeping mistakes.
Who (from either side) do you think deserved to be man of the match?
Tommy Doherty.

Post-match
Was the score line a fair reflection on the game?
I think that a win for Exeter was a fair reflection, but believe that the score line should have been greater than 2-1. Barnet did deserve their goal after the pressure they put on the Exeter box in the last 15 minutes or so.
Who do you play next, and how do you think you’ll get on?
Next up we have Port Vale at home, in a top of the table clash which should hopefully bring a decent crowd back to St James Park. Both sides are looking for a win that would help them in their quest for promotion to League One.
I will be happy with a point on Saturday, but believe that if we perform to our full potential, then I don’t see why we can’t walk away with all three points.

Ratings
Cost of match day ticket:
£16 for an adult, which is around the norm for League 2 terracing ––– 8/10
Purchases made at ground
Programme was a very good read, and for only £3 is very much worth it ––– 9/10
Cheeseburger was ok, a bit on the dry and cold side, but I’ve had worse ––– 5/10
View
Due to there not being very many of away fans (333) there was plenty of room and space to be able to see the game, but I can imagine that if a club bring around the 800/1000 mark, then there being a lot of people unable to see ––– 7/10
Quality of football
Like I said before, you can tell that Barnet are at the bottom of the table and the lack of ‘quality’ football showed this. Granted, they did play some decent football at times, but just couldn’t do anything with it ––– 6/10
Overall experience
I always enjoy my trips to Underhill – it’s always a fixture that I look out for when they’re released. It’s such a shame that Barnet are having to move from their traditional home. I would recommend a visit to Underhill this season if you get a chance, as it is a very unique ground to visit, mainly because of the infamous sloped pitch ––– 9/10

Total ––– 37/50
